Long Time

"In many respects, I was grieving for the loss of hope. Hope that one day we could be together."
- This is a Love Story

Okay so I just feel like sharing a very sad quote from the book I'm currently reading. This book is heartbreaking in many ways. I have more quotes like that, saved on my phone. I just feel like sharing one. Haha! Anywayyyy..

Say hello to me wearing jeans - as in real and legit jeans! It's been a long time since I last wore one! I think the last time I wore jeans was November last year. Ever since I started college, I figured out that jeans and I do not go well together. If I'm not wearing leggings, I'm wearing skirts. I find denim pants incredibly hot and a little restraining. But anyway, I missed the feel of it. It's good to not be conscious of your seating position or be worried by the wind sometimes. But the real reason why I wore them? To dress down my formal top.

 My top is like a combination of sailor moon's dress and a school uniform from Japan and those outfit that scholars wear to make them look smarter. Haha, I blame it on the collar. I think it makes the outfit different and noticeable. Imagine this paired with a cream, pleated skirt with knee high white socks and black school shoes. What do you think? :)

Top - Bayo || Pants - Just G. || Belt - XOXO

Butterfly ring - Rustan's || Owl ring - Accessorize
I only wore rings so that the accessories would not clash with the metallic color of the top. :)

Sandals - Meet My Feet
Including footwear in my outfit shots now that I still have beautiful nails. I am meant to ruin my polished nails in less than a week, so taking pictures of them now before I ruin them.

 I can feel third term starting to slowly pour down a crash of things to do - papers to write, researches, quizzes, seminars to attend. And because of that, here I am, up early to start reviewing for everything. Yes, I woke up at 10am and that is early for me. I would still be sleeping if I didn't convinced my self last night that I would start early in the hope of finishing everything in time. Haha! I'm sure you all can relate. Good luck with all the school works! Have a nice day!

Color of the Year

So everything has died down and all La Sallians are going back to sleep now. We all had to wake up early to enroll for LEAP and as usual, MyLaSalle never failed to annoy and disappoint students. I wish La Salle would really pay attention to MLS and fix the system. Anyway, as much as I would like to, I can't go back to sleep now that I'm awake.

The day I wore this outfit was such a drag. I Forced myself out of bed to get ready for school only to find out my first class was free cut, I studied for a quiz which got cancelled, then there was my girly time of the month which left me with zero energy. I decided that day the I wouldn't take any outfit shots. But the outfit I was able to put together was surprisingly decent and somehow worthy of a blog post.

I grabbed a shirt, grab a skirt, decided that I was going to wear my comfiest flats and didn't even look at the mirror until I was about to go out of the house. The outfit actually looked okay that's why I decided to blog it. Plus, it's composed of the color of the year. :))

Shirt - Zara || Skirt - Forever 21 || Necklace - Accessorize

Belt - Amanda's Shop || Ring - Accessorize || Bangles - Gift

Flats - Crocs
On days like this, I rely on these sandals. Some people say Crocs are not very flattering to your feet but the comfort it gives is unquestionable. Comfort > Style!

I like how it actually looks like it's one piece, like it's a dress. I think the belt actually does the trick. I love putting belts on every outfit!

Anyway, during my break, my best friend and I went to Noriter, the most homey place you will ever find in Taft. I missed Noriter, it's been a long time since I've been there and I think that it has the most beautiful, creative and all around adorable interior design I've ever seen for a coffee shop. Plus, you can write on its walls so it's full of cute doodles and people's feelings and thoughts. It's nice to get a glimpse on how other people feel sometimes.

Getting serious with his drink, haha!

Monday again! I have my energy back now. I think I have to adjust my LEAP. Every single time I enroll, I have to adjust afterwards. How I wish MLS would improve. Gonna go get ready for school now. Have a great week ahead of you! :)

When All Else Fails

When all else fails, grab a dress put a belt around it, then grab a matching cardigan and you're good to go. There are days when you just spend a huge amount of time thinking and mentally rummaging your closet what to wear. And when you've decided what to wear already, surprise surprise! It doesn't look as good as it does in your head. I had one of those days last Thursday. So this is the effortless outfit I came up with after spending so much time staring at my closet:

I love the print on this dress. I wore minimal accessories with it cause it doesn't need that much accessorizing or styling because it has striking prints already. :) When I put on the cardigan in school, I just realized how conservative the look was. Haha!

Belt - Zara

Ring - Balikbayan Handicrafts || Bangles - Gift

Flats - Enzo Angiolini
It's been a long time since I last wore this flats. I saw them last Thursday and decided to give them another try. They used to be really uncomfortable before but they're okay already so it's time to overuse them now. :))

So that was a picture spam, I know. Haha! It took me more than an hour to create this blog post since I'm currently watching Dancing with the Stars so I only write during commercials. I super duper love this show! It makes me want to do ballroom dancing. So sad it's ending already. :( Can't wait for season 14! Anybody here knows who Derek Hough is? Favorite dancer everrrrrrr!

That's it! Finally got to finish this! Haha. Have a good night! :)

Kung Hei Fat Choi

Kung Hei Fat Choi from a Filipino girl who thanks all the Chinese for having a separate day for their New Year and giving us this holiday! Hahaha. No but seriously, Kung Hei Fat Choi everyone. :) It's the year of the Dragon which according to my research is a pretty lucky year for almost all elements except Fire. Horoscopes may be true sometimes but at the end of the day, we're the ones responsible for our own luck. And speaking of luck, I decided to wear red for that Chinese New Year feel. :)

I love how this outfit just came together. I wanted to wear red but I wanna do it in a subtle way since red is a very striking color so I paired it with my striped  black and white high waist skirt. I think the combination of the colors make it simple and classy.

Shirt - Kamiseta || Skirt - Kashieca

Tassel Necklace - Accessorize || Ring - Gift
To keep the classiness going, I used minimal silver accessories. Oh and did you notice that my ring and my necklace both have leaves? Just saying. :))

Belt - Bayo

Wedges - Toms

And to complete my Kung Hei Fat Choi blog post, I leave you with Chinese related pictures that I took for the past two days from the different Chinese places we've been to. Can you count how many times I said "Chinese" in this post? :))

Happy Chinese New Year one last time, everyone. Back to the normal life tomorrow. Hope you all had a lovely long weekend! Good night! :)

PS. I have a new header and side bar!!!!! I'm so happy. I love my old header but I wanted a new one for quite some time already. Thank you to my amazing friends, Neil Arce and Carlitos Aranas, who have been very patient with all my requests and instructions! Thank you, thank you. >:D<

Brown and Woody

Oh, the things I do for the love of blogging. The pictures you are about to see were taken at 11:30 pm. Crazy, I know. But it's just that I always seem to forget to take outfit shots in schools cause there's always something to do, somewhere to go to. And when it's dismissal time already, the sun's gone. So my only option is to wait for my dad to come home and discover parts and corners of our house with good lighting for photos. And tada! There's good lighting near our piano. :) Haha. I used to play the piano when I was young, but I stopped. And now I really want to continue again and during my last sem break, I studied some songs and tried to play again. But mostly just the intro's of the songs. Hahaha. So anyway, here's what I wore last Friday:

One of my friends told me before not to wear plaid anymore since they're out of season and overused by almost everyone. But plaids are very easy to play with and it makes dressing up a whole lot easier cause it can stand alone so accessories and all other stuff are not necessary. :)

Plaid top - Jellybean || Tank top - Gift || Leggings - Kids of bayo
Necklace - Balikbayan Handicrafts

Bag - Marks and Spencer
I seldom include bags in my outfit shots since I don't have that much patience to change them everyday just to make it match my outfit so whenever they do, I make sure to include it.

Owl ring - Accesorize || Paris bangles - Gift

Wedges - Charles and Keith

The obligatory creative shot! :))

Better and outdoor photos to follow! :) I'll make sure to catch the sun the following days to have better pictures to share with you guys. It's the eve of Chinese New Year in just a few hours. Since I'm no Chinese, I'm not really sure if they celebrate new year as big and grand as Filipinos do or just a simple dinner but anyway, Kung Hei Fat Choi everyone! :)

The Butterfly Effect

There are days when we feel like being a perfectionist. The day I wore this outfit was one of those days. First would be because, I had three outfit shots taken in three different places that day. But my camera was not cooperating since the pictures we're over exposed (I really need to figure out the settings of my camera). And second was being a perfectionist with the things I did that day. So anyway, what I did was when I got home, I asked my dad to take my picture on our staircase.. again. Haha!

All my outfits shots had one thing in common that day! My attempt to show my aka "wings". I do not know what you call this kind of sleeves but tops like this along with cape tops are really in lately. I keep seeing them in stores and in other blogs. I love how the color of my top compliments the color of the skirt! I felt like a butterfly! Haha. :)

Top - H&M || Skirt - Zara || Layered Necklace - Aldo

Ring - Gift || Eiffel tower necklace - Amanda's Shop

I actually built my outfit on this ring! It was a gift from my Ninang and cousins from the Sates and I really, really, really like. It's such an eye catcher. I got it the day before and I knew I had to wear it right away. I knew I had to wear silver accessories to match the ring and built my outfit from there! :)

This is actually a quick post since in 20 minutes, I have to get out of the house and leave for school. I knoooooow. :(( I have one class today!! I don't wanna leave my bed. Hahaha. But oh well, what choice do I have. I know everyone's on the long weekend spirit already! Happy Chinese New Year! :)
