SG Day 1: Marina Bay

Four our first day in Singapore, our first stop was Marina Bay. We had an early morning flight, that's why we arrived at Singapore at around 10am. After dropping of our luggages in the hotel, we went straight for the train to Marina Bay. This is where the walking began. Apparently, Singaporeans love to walk. I don't think I've ever walked like that my whole life. Haha! But I enjoyed it since I was able to really see the city's beauty! We spent most of our day just roaming around and discovering Marina Bay.

What's a travel post without airport pictures? :)
This is where their president resides, just right beside our hotel.
It's seeing structures like this that's why I didn't mind walking at all!
We met up with my mom's friend, Tita Su Lin. She's a local and she acted as our personal tour guide the whole trip! And also as my roller coaster sister! Haha!
Amazing interior!
Our delicious lunch! I usually don't eat shrimp or other seafoods except for tempura but because it's beautifully plated, I willingly ate it that time!
Gondola rides inside the mall! The canal leads to the Rain Oculus, where there is water coming out from an inverted dome producing a twirling waterfall effect.
Inside the mall was also the casino, which is billed as the world's most expensive stand alone casino.
This picture doesn't even encapsulate how huge the mall is!
Some of the high end shops
The Ferrari display that you're not allowed to take a picture of when inside the store, but I seriously don't mind, since taking it's picture from the outside is so much better! Haha!

The top most floor of the mall leads to a rooftop where you can see a beautiful view of the city! At the side is also Louis Vuitton's flagship store called the Island Mansion.

The Helix Bridge!
On our way to Gardens by the Bay. I have a thing for long escalator rides!
On our way to Gardens by the Way, we saw the perfect view of Marina Bay Sands.
Singapore Flyer!
View of the Skywalk and Gardens by the Bay, where we were headed. It's absolutely breathtaking that's why I'm doing a different blog post for it!

This for now! :)

SG Outfit: The Traveller

Last weekend, my family and I visited Singapore. It was a long overdue travel, something that we originally planned 3 or 4 years ago but got postponed. I'm a hesitant traveller. I love going to different places but my love for travelling is directly proportional to my hate for plane rides. But Singapore was a city that I really, really wanted to see. Both my parents have been there in the past because of their business trips but this was also their first time to visit as tourists!

Can I just say I love Singapore??!!!!! Day one of our trip and I was already sold. I used to originally love Japan, but now it shares its top spot with Singapore! I love the modern and futuristic infrastructure, the people, the sights! Since my blog has been on a hiatus, I've prepared a number of Singapore posts to document our 4-day trip! But before all the spazzing, here's what I wore first:

Airport outfit needs to be nothing but comfortable. But I also wanted a nice, fashionable, tourist-y outfit. Solution? Denim polo and printed leggings! I love my floral printed leggings since it makes the look striking without much effort and whatever I pair it with, it dresses up in an instant!
I love it when my brown hair shows in pictures! Haha!
Necklace - Tops
Denim top - Clothes for the Goddess || Leggings - Marks and Spencer
Bag - Longchamp

Sandals - Crocs
Sunnies - Topshop

This officially starts my Singapore diary!! :)

Young at Heart

People always say that I look young for my age. I'm just starting to get used to answering "19" whenever people ask how old I am but the consistent "you don't look 19" reply doesn't help sometimes. In high school, my friends used to make fun of me telling me that I can be such a kid sometimes. Not in its negative, childlike meaning I hope. Haha. Maybe because I am amused by simple things. I suppose it's an only child thing. But honestly though, I actually don't feel 19 too. I watch Spongebob and Phineas and Ferb whenever I catch them on TV, I get nostalgic whenever I see a playground and I still cannot find it in my heart to give away my Barbie dolls and their dollhouse. An unbearable scene would always cross my mind whenever I'd think of giving them away: little girls would just start ripping their heads off and losing all their precious and accessories! HAHA

Although there's nothing wrong with looking young (I'm sure it's something I would long for in the future),  I always try to present myself in the right age and a big part of that involves how I dress. This is one of the few outfits I feel very matured in. The leafy print on my top is a refreshing contrast to my usual florals. My matching accessories is also a break from the usual piled up bangles and huge rings. A blouse and pants pairing in tame colors with a simple graphic print and minimal accessories will definitely make people say, "Hey, she's 21!"
Top - Zara || Pants - Promod
Earrings - Balikbayan handicrafts
Matching bracelet and necklace - Balikbayan Handicrafts || Crystal flower bracelet - Thrifted
