For Old Times' Sake

There are times when you've done all that you have to accomplish and you are left with one thing to do - stare at your laptop. Well, at least that's what I do. So in an attempt to do something worthwhile I try to clean the useless folders in my laptop. I stumble upon the folder that probably takes up most of my laptop storage and that is HIGH SCHOOL PICTURES.

Drama aside, high school pictures always leave me nostalgic. High school was all about fun and being carefree with the right amount of stress. In high school, if you study all night, you top the test. That's just an irrevocable fact. In college, you can never really tell, can you? High school was simple in a complicated way. I'd say I'm glad to be over it but it is something I'll always look back to. College is wonderful and real, corporate life awaits but no matter what happens, high school stays with you. ALWAYS.

Let me quote a line from one of the songs of High School Musical even though we're too old for it, "high school musical, who says we have to let it go? It's the best thing we'll ever know".

To all incoming high school students, get ready for the time of your life.

To all high school students as of the moment, cherish every waking moment of your high school life no matter how hard it may be. It's the peak of your teenage years. You'll get lots of heartaches along the way but it will make you stronger. Grab every opportunity because soon you'll realize it ends too fast.

To the graduating high school students, it may be hard to leave it all behind but college is not that bad. You'll get to meet people from different walks of life and make some more friends you'll be thankful for. You'll be exposed to new things. Don't be scared because with every goodbye, comes a new hello.

TO THE NDGM GRADUATES OF BATCH 2009 -2010, in a year or two, we'll be graduation from college and that's when corporate life aka real life really starts. I have no idea how challenging and overwhelming it will be but I know that at some point it will knock you down hard. Just look back and remember all your strengths and all you're hopes and ask yourself, What would your high school self do? :)

Love, Paola <3
