Dreamer

Okay, so I know that was pretty long to quote and we learned from our Englres subject never to use direct quotation for a whole paragraph. But I just had to share that entire statement. I am proudly a dreamer. Whenever we we're given a free topic for essays during high school, I'd write about happy ever after's and how each one of us is living in our own fairytale. And until now, I still carry those thoughts with me. It keeps me hopeful. I blame Walt Disney for this principle in my life. Haha!  

On a totally unrelated note, here's what I wore to school today! Whenever I see tops with ribbons like that, I am reminded by Blair Waldorf! She's absolutely my number 1 style icon!

I rarely wear dangling earrings but today, I ended up removing all necklaces I tried on for this outfit, so when you don't feel like wearing anything on your neck, dangling earring are you're next best bet. 

I had this skirt in my closet way before I knew that cuts like that are called scallop cuts. Did you know that? Random info for today! :)

Sandals - Meet My Feet

So as you might have notice from my other posts, I love taking quotes from movies, books, shows, everything. I have a notebook wherein I write all beautiful lines I read or hear. I remember watching a dvd with my friends once and the lines of the actor were just too beautiful to pass so I hit the pause button, and they all got mad at me, telling me that they were on the verge of crying and I just ruined the moment. Haha! So, are you a dreamer or a realist? :)

Wind and A Story

Do not let this dress fool you. It looks a bit too short for school so before anything else, I am posting a picture to let you see that I violated not a single rule from our dress code. HAHA!

See? An inch (even more) than my longest finger! The DO's were like eyeing me conspicuously all the time!

So anyway, I'll tell you a story. It's been days that the sun shines so intensely on us, it makes me want to stay inside the freezer all day. But today, it was surprisingly very windy as well. When I was about to cross the street, I decided to open my umbrella because I feel like even just a few seconds under the sun would toast me. You probably guessed what happened next. Clever as I am, my umbrella failed me, as it turns upward and outward. It was such a struggle to close it since the wind was really strong. It didn't help that my best friend was laughing hard, acting like he didn't know me at all.  Hahaha. I was so embarrassed and ashamed and *insert all other synonyms here*. :))

To beat the heat, I decided to go for a breezy and comfortable dress! :)

Evergreen

Look at me, reunited with my favorite building in La Salle, Yuch! How I missed taking outfit shots in school. I miss five hour breaks, I miss minor subjects, I miss last term. But anyway, glad that I'm at least about to finish another term that will take me a step closer to graduation! I know it's still a bit far but I can already feel a teeny, tiniest excitement for it! But I'm still enjoying college despite all the crazy school stuff it brings! And I really love La Salle! Ever since 4th year, I knew it's where I wanted to go in college. To express my deep love for my school, here's an all green outfit for you! 

Just with a hint of pink, of course! :) I love this shirt. How often do you see a printed shirt? Well, not too often for me. So this is really a closet statement, in my opinion. :)

So anyway, if you are one of those people who wished and crossed their fingers that there will be no classes on Thursday, well sad to say our wish was not granted. :( The website of the House of Congress that we all seem to be buzzing about is not a hoax. The bill was approved, but it's still not yet a law. I should've paid more attention on how laws were approved when I was in high school. But anyway, hope you all have a lovely evening despite that news!

Super Girl

 Last Friday, as I was walking along Amphi, the wind decided to blow hard. It was one of those walks that I do, the walking-fast-but-not-running-since-I-can't-really-run, good-thing-I'm-not-wearing-a-skirt-today-moment. Phew! That's one long word dash word statement. So anyway, I love a cool, strong wind. It's instant polaroid photo moment. Hair blowing, casual smile, model walk. That's practically what goes inside my head whenever a cool wind greets me. But last Friday, I added another mental note to my polaroid photo moment. I felt like a superhero that time! Why?

Well because of this flow-y cover up, that's why! I liked how it's short at the back, leaving the dramatic feel it gives off just in front with its long drapes. I really did feel like a very girl superhero in pink and florals! :))

I've been hearing such good comments about Yosi Samra flats since last year. I've even read somewhere once that it was the "softest flats today". All I can say is that they did not disappoint! *thumbs up* :)

So what's your Superhero moment? In one of our recollections, we were asked to draw a superhero that would embody ourselves. And since drawing is the least of my talents, I came up with a stick person. I just added a cape. Ha! I feel so clever. HAHA! But anywyay, we we're asked to name our superhero. First I named mine Super Girl. Thinking how that was so unique in itself, I decided to change it and just go with Paola. I remember saying during the group sharing that "I named it after myself to remind me that there's a bit of superhero in each one of us." Then my group mates kind of went aww. So that's how I passed art classes for the past 10 years. Explanation over drawing. Works everytime!

Fashionable Friends

Whenever my class gets free cut, I like locking myself away in the library, reviewing or catching up on my reading. So one Tuesday, when my professor was missing in action, I did my usual habit. But when I saw my block mates in the library, well the reading and reviewing never happened! All that happened was a lot of laughing that I'm pretty sure wasn't library-appropriate that's why I'm a little surprised nobody kicked us out. HAHA! 29th of February

This pictures do not even justify Manila heat right now. I cannot even keep track of the number of times I said "ang init" today. So I decided to wear an easy outfit in the form of a simple dress, bring out my umbrella, which matches my dress perfectly and stand on our small pond just because it's February 29. I love celebrating or just plain acknowledging special days like this. It's easy to get lost in our everyday routine but it's something I try not to succumb to. That's why I already consider random and different days such as February 29 aka Leap Year Day as something special. :)

Aside from today being February 29, another reason why it's pretty special because I got to see my most favorite teacher on earth - Mam Bong. I say this with all honestly, ever since first year though we're still not close, she's my favorite already. She's actually staying in Canada now but paid a one week visit to Manila. Calling her my teacher actually feels weird because although she was a great teacher to us, she's more like a friend and a second parent. I never thought that I would be this close to one of my teachers but I'm thankful I am with Mam Bong. I wish she could stay a bit longer. :(

Endless kwentuhan with Mam, Bes and Incha during lunch! Definitely brought me good vibes. :)

My Version of Chill

Sundays are chill days. It's usually about going to mass for Church then eating out or just strolling around the mall. I wanted to incorporate "chill" in my outfit, so what's chill-er than wearing denims? :) It's really the first thing that came into mind. And since I am not usually in denims nowadays, it feels a bit different now. So what I decided to do was fold my jeans up, something I've learned from my favorite blogger! :) Then I wore accessories in every part of my body (hence the headband) and then finished off by throwing on my most abused wedges. Now, it's the right amount of chill with a hint of I-did-put-some-effort-dressing-up-today feel. :)
